Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
