Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features Teor (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the party reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Questers and Strategists groups.
Viewers can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
